EMS Director Solicitation Questions and Answers
Can the government confirm that 80 hours annually is the estimated level of efforts for this position?
The 80 hours is an accurate estimate, but there are variables that could affect this number for example the number of patient contacts our EMTs may have from one year to another.
Page 2. states list of clients past and current. Does is matter if it was a government vs private contracts?
The evaluation criteria states:
A list of clients for past and current contracts for similar projects. Limit this information to no more than five contracts performed within the last three years, each listed separately. For each contract the offeror shall provide: contract number, agency name and address, agency point of contact, telephone number and email address, and a description of the work performed.
Government or private experience will be accepted as long as it is similar experience to the work described in the SOW.
Can you verify the # of travel and hours spent in training at onsite locations?
In the past, there have been two, one day, hands on instruction sessions per year. These sessions have typically been hosted in Grand Junction and Craig, CO on back-to-back-days. There are no known changes at this time but there is no guarantee that the same training schedule, number of training days and the locations will be the same in the future or throughout the life of the awarded contract.
In reviewing the Medical Director BLM CO EMS (Notice 140L1721R0007), are you able to provide further clarification on the valid Colorado Medical License requirement in regard to timing? Specifically, is it acceptable for the individual(s) named in the quote package/proposal to have been submitted for the Colorado medical license at the time of submittal, and have been granted the Colorado medical license prior to the start date of the period of performance?
The SOW states:
The Medical Director must be a Colorado licensed physician and will have overall responsibility for the medical aspects of care provided by BLM medical providers in the state.
The Evaluation Criteria states:
