About this file
This file is an Amendment No. 1 Scope of Work for a Bureau of Land Management (BLM) contract to procure and deliver materials for the Devils Corral Trailhead renovation project. The solicitation requires a contractor to deliver 850 tons of Class II, inch aggregate base rock to Cal Trans Specs and 90 broken granite boulders native to Susanville, CA, approximately 4 feet in width. Specific requirements include using virgin, hard rock materials with multiple angular faces, ensuring the materials are weed-free and without recycled content, and delivering via belly dump and end dump trucks.
The performance period is from July 14-24, 2025, with base rock delivery scheduled for July 14-18 and boulder delivery for July 21-24. The project aims to redevelop and widen the Bizz Johnson Trail Devils Corral Trailhead using L9840 GOIA funding, addressing issues of thinning gravel and failing barriers. Contractors must provide weighmaster certificate tickets daily, document quantities through a certified scale master, and be prepared for potential government inspection of material sources. Evaluation criteria focus on the contractor's ability to meet specific delivery, material, and logistical specifications for both the base rock and boulder components.
