Questions and Answers for Solicitation 140L1222Q0070:

Q: We need to know what the yards is in tonnage and what conversion rate we are using.

A: The volume required is 430 cubic yards, or an equivalent of 560 tons (roughly a 1.3 ton/cubic yard conversion rate).

Q: What safe access do we have to the staging area? Can we get a truck and trailer to the site? Does it have to be truck only and what size vehicle?

A: Access to the staging area is via an uphill 1.3 mile stretch of Warrenella Road. We won't restrict the type of truck and or trailer combination that can be used, as most common configurations are routinely seen using the road. The contractor is advised to visit the site to determine accessibility.

Q: Can we visit the site to review the route for our trucking supplier?

A: Yes, a site visit can be scheduled upon request, and is advised.

Q: What is the expectation of the delivery? Arrive, dump and leave is what we would be pricing out for delivery.

A: No further work will be required beyond dumping in the designated area.

Q: Do we have room for the entire amount to come all in one day? Can we haul multiple days?

A: Yes, there is plenty of room to receive all material in one day. The staging site shares an access road with and is adjacent to a PG&E substation. The staging area will either be defined in the field or upon a field visit.

Q: Will there be a representative of some kind showing the trucks where to dump?

A: Yes, a representative can and will be made available. The awarded contractor is to provide an estimated schedule of delivery to coordinate with a representative.
