140G0324Q0219 Questions and Answers.

Question: Information asks for .250" wall and 8" ID - these do not match up, this gives an 8-1/8" ID - for a closer ID to 8", .322" wall gives you a 7.981" ID - which does the end-user want?

Answer– we prefer the 0.250-in. wall – the increased ID (8.125-in. ID) is meets our specs and less weight.

Question: "0.2 percent copper-bearing blank casing" – what does this mean?

Answer – 0.2 percent copper is for corrosion resistance. The end user is concerned about corrosion, so we specified the copper over with stainless steel. The copper additive is used where corrosion resistance is a concern. High Strength Alloy or stainless steel are also acceptable.

140G0324Q0219 Questions and Answers.

Question: "weld collars with sight ring" - what does this mean? do they want collars on each end? Need more information, better description, also are pictures available?

Answer – Weld collars and sight rings help align the casing when you weld it so you know it is flush to the bottom. Weld collars and sight ring provided on one end of the pipe.

Question: Spec of A139 requested - would an alternate spec be ok if it had the same strength levels as A139?

Answer -Yes, if the alternate spec can meet the same strength level as A139 we would accept.
