Q1. Do you know if the delivery location has the ability to offload the containers?
A1. No, we do not have the ability to offload. The company delivering them needs to offload them inside the wareyard and put them in place (location determined by agency).
Additionally, each Box will need to be delivered separately on smaller trucks.
Unfortunately, we do not meet the requirement for using a larger truck that requires 120 feet to deliver.
They will need to be delivered on the smaller trucks that only require 60 feet to deliver/offload. The site is fenced on a graveled lot and is 125' X 125', with a 12' gate in the center of one side.
Q2. Would you accept a 40 ft High cube container‐Its exterior measurements are 8ft Wide by 40ft Long by 9.6ft High. These containers are much more common than the 8ft Wide by 40ft Long by 8.6ft High.
A2. We cannot accept 40 ft long shipping containers due to space and delivery constraints.
Regarding height, our preference is 8.6 so that it matches the rest.
Q3. As part of our procurement process, we would like to ask the complete delivery address for Sol number 140G0324Q0148. Based on the file we downloaded at SAM. GOV, it only stated container to be delivered to wareyard in Philomath, OR.
A3. Boxes will be delivered and put in place (determined by agency), inside wareyard fence at the address below:
USGS FRESC
Mill Pond Park 2353 Main Street Philomath, Oregon 97370
Q4. I would like to know if you are flexible on number of vents in each container?
A4. No. Vents along the top, 4 on each side and 2 on the back.
Q5. I would like to know if there is any preference for the color of the containers. It wasn’t specified in the solicitation.
A5. Color preference is light grey or beige.
Q6. In reference to the specifications outlined for the container, which includes the installation of 10 standard air vents, we are prepared to incorporate additional air vents measuring 1 foot by 1 foot as required. Could you please specify if there are any particular requirements or preferred locations for the placement of these vents on the container?
A6. Vents along the top, 4 on each side and 2 on the back.
Q7. Is there a specific color or paint specification required for the containers? We plan to use Sherwin‐ Williams Direct to Metal paint and would like to ensure compliance with your color requirements.
A7. As stated in the solicitation – ‘shall be painted for corrosion resistance’.
Color preference is light grey or beige.
