About this file

This is a Salient Characteristics document specifying requirements for 2 GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) Receivers with IMU tilt compensation for surveying and mapping applications, issued by the U.S. Geological Survey Hydrologic Instrumentation Facility.

The required GNSS receivers must include MEMS IMU technology and track multiple satellite navigation systems (GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BeiDou, QZSS, SBAS, IRNSS, L-Band). Key technical specifications include: RTPK capability, 24-hour battery life, 12 VDC external power compatibility, 20 Hz RTK and position update rates, positional accuracy of <2m autonomous and <0.5m DGPS, integrated antenna, 32GB storage, LED display panel, USB port, Wi-Fi/Bluetooth connectivity, IP68 rating, and operating temperature range of -40 to 60°C. The device must be compact (max 5.5 x 3.5 x 2.5 inches), lightweight (<1.5 lbs), pole-mountable, and include all necessary accessories and software. Delivery is required to USGS New York Water Science Center in Huntington, NY within 30 days of order receipt. This is a small business set-aside under NAICS 334511 with quotes due February 19, 2025, and anticipated award date of March 10, 2025.
