About this file

This document is a set of Questions and Answers (Q&A) related to Solicitation Number 140G0124Q0144 for the removal and replacement of existing carpeting with new vinyl plank flooring at the Columbia Environmental Research Center (CERC) in Columbia, Missouri.

The Q&A clarifies that the subfloor is concrete and that a 4.5-inch height is required for the new flooring due to the thickness of the carpeting, which is thicker than luxury vinyl tile (LVT). The acquisition is a 100% Total Small Business set-aside with a NAICS code of 238330 and a $19 million size standard. Vendors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be awarded the contract. All responsible sources may submit a quote, which must be emailed to the Contracting Officer.

140G0124Q0144 Vendor Q&A Amendment 002

1. What is the sub flooring?

1. Subfloor is concrete.

2. Is it typical for the height specified in the bid to be 4.5 inches, whereas the standard height for the 4" cove base is typically 4 inches?

1. We need 4.5 inch because the carpeting is thicker than LVT. If we go with 4 inch then we need to repaint the walls. Thus 4.5 inch is required.
