About this file

This government file outlines specifications for ground penetrating radar equipment required under a federal solicitation. The United States Geological Survey is seeking bistatic transmitter and receiver antenna systems with a 3200 receiver and 32-bit recording capable of stacking over 2048 traces. Fiber optic cables of 2.5m and 20m in length are required for the ultra receiver and transmitter along with antennas centered at 50MHz and 100MHz that allow common midpoint and WAAS surveys when separated. Global positioning system location integration and sunlight readable screens on control units are also specified. Equipment must come with protective transportation cases and data processing software. Wheel carts and carrying handles are required for efficient surveys in various terrains, and survey wheels should track distance traveled.
