About this file

This document contains questions and answers regarding solicitation number 140G0123Q0197 for boat motor installation from the Department of the Interior US Geological Survey Office of Acquisitions and Grants. The questions address whether installation can occur at the agency's facility, availability of lifting equipment, whether existing engines need removal, required harness and cable lengths, and whether new steering is required. It was confirmed installation can occur on site but the only lifting equipment is an A-frame hoist. The boat currently has twin engines that need removal before the new items can be installed. A 17 foot harness and cable length was measured from the binnacle control to the last motor. No new speedometer is required as the boat already has a SEA STAR system installed for the present motors.
