Q1. What is the make/model of the siding installed last year on the other Penthouse walls?
A1. We do not have the make/model of the siding installed last year.
Q2. What is the wall panel thickness and material? What is the substrate?
A2. Current walls are insulated metal walls; believe .26g with foam.
Q3. Is the exterior coating smooth or aggregate?
A3. Smooth
Q4. If sections of a wall are compromised due to decay, can like and kind material be put in its place rather than trying to find an exact match from 24 years ago?
A4. Yes
Q5. Does rust inhibitor need to be applied over the entire body of existing walls since all walls have been exposed to oxygen and water?
A5. No, only on portions where rust is evident.
Q6. How old is the roof? Is it a TPO, EPDM, Torch down, or PVC?
A6. Roof is 2013. It is rubber membrane.
Q7. Can the roof to wall flashing remain with new being applied over the existing?
A7: If talking about parapet, yes
Q8. Are there leaks occurring now near the roof to wall flashings?
A8. There have been leaks. Unaware of where located.
Q9. Will removing and replacing the coping cap cause roof damage to upper penthouse roofing material?
A9. Parapet cap does not need to be removed – If contractor deems necessary, please see SOW pertaining to lightning protection.
Q10. What manufacturer produces the desired .26 gauge steel ribbed siding to match last year’s siding?
A10. We do not have the manufacturer of the siding installed last year.
Q11. Can the roof structure sustain a staging area with siding materials, or does the staging need to be grounded?
A11. Staging of materials can be done on roof – no electric/motorized lifts.
Q12. If materials are grounded, what area is allowable for a telescopic handler?
A12. Near the N2 door.
