Questions and Answers

Question 1: Who decides when the work is scheduled?

Answer 1: The Contractor agrees to attend a virtual post award conference meeting, in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Subpart 42.5. This meeting will aid coordination of start dates between refuges and the review of pertinent logistic and safety information, such as aerial hazards on each refuge." All Refuge POCs will be at this meeting to coordinate with the contractor for any particular scheduling needs or reasons one refuge needs to be done ahead of another. Otherwise, the contractor will work with each Refuge POC to schedule work at that refuge.

Question 2: Does the contract have to be started right away or can it wait till august to begin the project?

Answer 2: Spraying needs to be completed by September 7. The longer you wait, the more at risk for a tropical system to wreck havoc on the schedule.

Question 3: Are we allowed to put more then one helicopter on the project at a time?

Answer 3: Yes, multiple helicopters could be used so more than one refuge could be sprayed on a given day. Nothing precludes a vendor using more than one helicopter on a single refuge as long as it can be done safely in the airspace to be sprayed.

Question 4: Do you want one Per Acre Price for the whole project, Prices By NWR, or prices for each Different Chemical Mix across all

Answer 4: The base year should have prices for each chemical mix. The option years should have a price per acre in accordance with the quote schedule.
