About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for feed formulation consulting and research services required by the Bozeman Fish Technology Center, a USFWS facility.
The Center requires assistance across four primary nutrition project areas: (1) development of feeds to enhance sustainability and product quality of urchin uni; (2) continued development of trout diets to improve ingredient utilization and digestibility; (3) assessment of alternative ingredients as bait; and (4) data entry, statistical analyses, and report/manuscript writing for alternative ingredient evaluation projects, including publication in the USFWS-maintained online nutrient digestibility database. Services required include providing general consulting on feed formulations and feed specifications, assisting with small-batch manufacture of research or production feeds, conducting laboratory assays and calculations to quantify biological parameter responses, managing and analyzing feeding and digestibility trial data, and communicating research findings through presentations, reports, and peer-reviewed publications. The general SOW also identifies five core duties: conducting fish feeding trials, formulating and manufacturing diets, performing laboratory analyses, managing and analyzing data, and preparing presentations, reports, and manuscripts.
