About this file
This statement of work outlines maintenance and repair requirements for a 100-foot barge owned by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. The vessel, named Miss Matagorda, requires quadrennial maintenance to keep it operational for open water projects on the Texas Gulf Coast. Services include hauling the barge out of the water and placing it on blocks in a commercial dry dock for cleaning, painting, and welding repairs from February 22nd to April 19th, 2024. The contractor will sandblast and apply primer, haze grey paint, and antifouling paint to the barge. Approximately 20 zinc anodes will be replaced or installed. Engine hatches, running gear, and other components will be inspected and repaired as needed. The refurbished vessel must be returned by the delivery deadline so that it can be used for upcoming field work, allowing for weather-dependent scheduling. Acceptance will be determined by the refuge manager upon completion according to specifications.
