About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) attachment related to a Request for Quote (RFQ) for planting 20,000 sagebrush seedlings in the Hanford Reach National Monument.
The key details are:
- The sagebrush seedlings will be 10-inch bareroot plants, not container plugs.
- The Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) plans to deliver the sagebrush seedlings to the site in boxes.
- There is no flexibility to include the second week of November in the planting dates.
- The planting should be done using a small tool that creates a narrow slice in the vegetation and soil, rather than a hole.
- The flagging is for marking the boundary of the planting areas, not individual 15x15 plant spots.
The related federal contract opportunity is Solicitation #140F1B24Q0043 for "Hanford Reach Ntl. Monument planting 20k sagebrush", issued by the Department of the Interior Fish and Wildlife Service.
