About this file

This document contains answers to questions about Amendment 1 to the solicitation for gravel delivery at the White River National Wildlife Refuge. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is seeking quotes to deliver 690 tons of gravel per day to four different locations within the refuge over a period of performance from July 11, 2022 through October 30, 2022. Bidders must submit separate quotes for each location, and the gravel must be tailgate spread by the delivery trucks. While all four locations will be worked on during the period of performance, only the Levee Loop location will be active for the entire duration. The other three locations will be worked on in conjunction with Levee Loop, but no more than two locations will receive gravel deliveries at a time.

Amendment 1; Attachment 1

Levee Loop Gravel Delivery at White River NWR Solicitation # 140F0822Q0009

Questions and Answers

1. Will I need to fill out an RFQ for each of the gravel contracts?

Response: If you want to be considered for award for all four (4), then you will need to submit a quote for each of them separately.

2. The Gravel truck companies that I’ve found, do not spread the gravel with their trucks, will that be an issue?

Response: Yes, that is an issue. That does not meet the requirements. The gravel must be tailgate spread.

3. Will there need to be 690 tons delivered every day of the Period of Performance?

Response: Yes, each day there will need to be 690 tons delivered each day.

4. There has been some concern from Contractors regarding the delivery schedule between the four gravel locations. The Period of Performance still stands as 07/11/2022 through 10/30/2022 for all four locations. However, the only one that will be worked on for the entire duration of the Period of Performance is the Levee Loop location. The other three will be worked on in conjunction with Levee Loop, but at no time will more than two areas be worked on for gravel deliveries. For example, when the Period of Performance begins, there will be requests for gravel to be delivered to the Levee Loop location and one of the other three locations (North Unit, Ethel Bottoms or Jacks Bay) but never more than two locations at a time.
