140F0519Q0073 – Amendment 1 Vendor Q&A

1. Is the unit going to be running?

IF SO how many hours a week will the unit be running during the POP?

The plan is to purchase a commercial generator for permanent installation for backup power.

The period of performance in this case is the delivery time, I’m not sure what you mean by how many hours a week the unit will be running during the POP. The unit would be installed to test weekly and turn on automatically during a power failure.

2. Do you have your own cables to connect the unit?

IF NOT what length and connections will be needed to connect the unit?

The unit will eventually be hard wired. The unit will be installed adjacent to the building. It's about 50 feet from install site to the main electrical distribution panel.

3. Who will be responsible for connecting the unit to your grid?

Not sure yet, we'll hire local contractor to install separately.

4. How close can we get the connection point?

Not sure what is meant by this. See 2 &3 above

5. Can you confirm that the customer will have the equipment to offload the delivery?

We will need to know of the delivery date in advance to rent equipment to unload, if delivery could include unloading of the generator that would be great. Please specify if you are unable to unload the generator in your quote.

6. Can you confirm that installation is not a part of this procurement?

Installation is not a part of this procurement.

7. Do you require an industrial grade unit or should we quote the light commercial grade unit that you have referenced?

I apologize for any confusion. Please quote the light commercial grade equivalent to the

Generac model listed in the SOW.
