About this file
The document appears to be a set of questions and answers (Q&A) related to a laundry services solicitation for the Department of the Interior's Office of Aviation Services in Anchorage, Alaska. The solicitation (Number 140D0425Q0337) seeks a vendor to provide weekly laundry, linen, and uniform services at the Alaska Regional Office Repair Station, with specific focus on coverall handling. The current contract is with ALSCO (contract number 140D120C0002), valued at $25,132.91, which expires on 7/31 and is being recompeted for a new 5-year term. Key clarifications in the Q&A include confirmation that coveralls are rented from the contractor, not government-owned, and will be picked up and dropped off on a weekly basis at the 4405 Lear Court, Anchorage, AK location.

Coveralls – Rental or Government-Provided?
Can you confirm whether the contractor is expected to supply the coveralls as a rental, or if the government provides them and we’re just responsible for laundering and upkeep?
The coveralls are rented from the contractor and the Government does not own them.
Would you be able to share who the current or previous contractor is for this service? If possible, could you also provide the award number and total contract amount?
The current contractor is ALSCO and the total contract number is 140D120C0002 with a total value of $25,132.91.
Is there any background you can share on why this is being recompeted? Just trying to understand whether it’s due to an expiring contract, scope changes, or something else.
The current contract expires on 7/31. Therefore, it is being recompeted for the next 5 years.
