About this file

This file is an Amendment 0001 Questions and Answers (Q&A) document for a Naval Underwater Warfare Center (NUWC) Structural Roof Assessment solicitation. The procurement, set aside for small businesses under NAICS code 541330 - Engineering Services with a $25.5M size standard, requires a professional engineering assessment of a roof structure, with a mandatory Hawaii Professional Engineering License. The scope is limited to visible structural features, including assessing equipment anchorage, base reactions of towers and antennas, and roof capacity calculations, specifically excluding non-structural issues, fall protection assessments, and selective demolition.

Key requirements include evaluating roof appurtenances, addressing potential deficiencies, and providing recommendations without performing repairs. The solicitation (140D0425Q0200) involves a remote/virtual kick-off and allows government escorts to take photographs for contractor use. Pricing will be evaluated on the total proposed price after technical acceptability, with no specific report format mandated. The contracting agency is the Department of the Interior Departmental Offices Interior Business Center, and a Hawaii Professional Engineering License is mandatory for contractors seeking to respond to this opportunity.
