Question 3

Exhibit E-2 lists, within the payload requirements, fuel for 1.0 hours of flight time. When we perform flight missions, the FAA mandates that we carry 20 minutes of fuel reserves beyond our expected flight time. Our assumption is that we should calculate the payload with 1.0 hours of total fuel (40 minutes of flight time plus 20 minutes of reserves). Can you clarify if this assumption is correct?

Answer 3

Yes, your assumption is correct.

Question 4

Aircraft Equipment Requirements (B6.35) but there is a note stating they only need to be installed when requested by gov. Do we need to include the weight of tundra pads on our “bid weight”?

Answer 4

Yes, you should include the weight of the tundra pads in your "bid weight." Although the tundra pads are only required to be installed when requested by the government, they are part of the Aircraft Equipment Requirements (B6.35), and since they are considered part of the aircraft's operational equipment, they should be accounted for in the bid weight.
