Questions and Answers for HAMILTON DS FQ1 FY23 Solicitation
1. Question: The contractor asked if repairs could be performed at the contractor facility in lieu of the pier papa at FLETC.
a. Response: No, the dockside repairs must take place at the Coast Guard facilities.
2. Question: Work Item 30: HVAC System (SCIF & MOC), Modify; Specification for work item states
SCIF compartment 02-21-1-C. Drawing 750-WMSL-512-530 states SCIF compartment 2-32-1- C. Please confirm this is the same space and the correct compartment number for the USCGC Hamilton (WMSL-753) SCIF compartment. Also, how will access to the SCIF and the MPC be granted?
a. Response: Work item identifies SCIF as compartment 02-31-1-C. Drawing identifies SCIF as compartment 02-32-1-C. Based on other drawings that are not listed in the work item, the correct compartment number for the SCIF is 02-32-1-C and the compartment number in the work item was a typo, as it should’ve been 02-32-1-C. KTR can request SCIF/COMMEES access through COR, provide at least 2 week notice for the crew to sanitize the space. Crew will stand space watch during KTR work hours.
3. Question: WORK ITEM 4: SSDG Flexible Hoses, Renew; Paragraph 3.3 tasks contractor to renew hoses and expansion joints for equipment listed in table 1. Will the Government provide the serial numbers of the three (3) SSDG Engines in order for the KTR to price the OEM hoses?
