Questions and Answers in Response to Solicitation 140D0421Q502
Locksmith Services for the Department of the Interior, Main Interior Building
1. Is the 2-hour response time, a confirmation of the request with an ETA to be on site or 2 hours to be on-site from time of request? Good question… The two hours is a confirmation of the request with an ETA to be on site.
2. Would we put our emergency service rates in the price Assumptions section for after hour emergencies? To include an Emergency Service Rate (ESR) is at the company’s discretion.
Details as to when the ESR is applied should be included in the company’s quote.
3. In the deliverables section, it mentions asbestos training and Ladder safety plan. Is this training you provide on-site that need to be completed or do we need to find an off-site training for this? This training is not provided by the DOI. Many companies utilize web-based training courses, regarding these topics, that provide a printable proof-of-completion certificate.
4. Do you have an estimated usage for this contract? (would we be called down to fix one lock at a time, or would we be on site for an extended period of time with multiple workorders?) This would depend on the priority of the work. If keys need to be cut, or cores pinned, we may wait until we have enough customers needing service before we call the locksmith out. If the service needed is an office lockout, or The Secretary of the Interior (or her staff) request locksmith work, it may be as soon as possible. The building is large and the need for locksmith work is frequent.
