About this file

This document is an Amendment (P00004) to a federal contract for Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) services at St. Stephens Indian School. The amendment revises the Period of Performance and Scope of Work, detailing service requirements for the base year and two option years. For the base year (2025-2026), services will be provided 4 days per week, 6 hours per day, for 36 weeks, covering both regular and compensatory time requirements, totaling 864 hours. Option Years 1 and 2 will reduce services to 2 days per week, 6 hours per day, for 36 weeks, with 432 hours annually, and will not include compensatory time.

The contract includes a hybrid work schedule with one week per month on-site for assessments and measurements, and the remaining weeks potentially remote. The government retains discretion to extend the contract beyond the initial base year, with renewals contingent on need, fund availability, and contractor performance. The target start is mid-August for the 25-26 School Year, with precise dates to be determined. Pricing details are to be all-inclusive, covering federal/state/local taxes, goods, services, travel, and other necessary fees to complete the work.

AMENDMENT – P00004

Question:

Are the 16 weeks spread out over the course of the academic school year or is it consecutive?

Response:

The schedule is coordinated over the course of the year with the school as service is based on student need.

Question:

Why is the school only seeking speech services for 16 weeks instead of an entire school year?

Is this for compensatory services only?

Will the school be able to extend the contract beyond 16 weeks?

Response:

The time requirement: 16 weeks was the time required to fulfill the 24-25 SY SLP needs.

However, due to an active solicitation the resulting award would be applicable to the 25-26 school year.

Compensatory hours will need to be included under 24-25 SY, base year resulting award.

A school year is 38 weeks and the SLP related services will need to fulfill at least 36 weeks of 2-days/6 hours daily. Therefore, a regular school year will require 432 hours/year to support the SSIS SLP needs. To compensate for the lost minutes (average 1280 minutes/student) for 11 students, it will take approximately 33 weeks of 2-days/6 hours daily equating to approximately 426 hours/year.

Therefore, the time requirement for a speech language pathologist, for the year of 2025- 2026, will be 36 weeks for 4-days/6 hours daily. 864 hours per 2025-2026 school year.

After the 2025-2026 school year, the need for a SLP will change to approximately 2-days/6 hours daily to fulfill SSIS's support requirements. 432 hours/year for each option year.
