Statement of Work (SOW)

Food and Dairy IDIQ Bureau of Indian Education

Background

The Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) requires food and dairy delivery to any location within CONUS.

The BIE has a recurring need at most of the Bureau Operated Schools (BOS) for food and dairy delivery throughout the year. Multiple Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Requirements contracts have been established to meet this need. All orders placed against these IDIQs are subject to the terms and conditions of the master IDIQ Requirements contracts.

Scope

The Contractor shall provide the following, but not limited to: Meats (fresh and frozen), Fruits (fresh, frozen and/or canned), vegetables (fresh, frozen and/or canned), breads, condiments, seasonings, beverages, non-perishables, pastas, and other non-food items necessary to implement the food service program to BOS and other facilities. The full list of items is included under attachment 2. The Government reserves the right to add/decrease items to the list as the market changes and the need arises.

The Contractor shall also meet standard incidental terms associated with food and dairy delivery such as providing ordering procedures and delivery dates/times on each delivery order (DO).

Special Material Requirements

Contractor’s refrigeration delivery truck temperature shall be between 35 – 40 degrees F to obtain the maximum life of the refrigerated products (or as required per FDA or other governing boards standards should this be updated). The successful contractor’s delivery truck must have a temperature log when transporting refrigerated products. If the temperature log is not computerized and automatically recording temperatures during the route, the driver must make at least two (2) additional stops during the route and at the last stop of the route to record temperatures. The contracting officer or school representative may request a copy of the specific delivery routes temperature log if an issue occurs.
