About this file

This document appears to be an amendment containing questions and answers related to a federal contract opportunity for the TOHS GYM FLOOR & STAGE REPLACEMENT project. The key details are:

The original Statement of Work (SOW) specified the gym floor dimensions as 65' x 91', but the scaling of the drawings indicates the actual dimensions are 118' x 94'. The Government recommends using the 118' x 94' dimensions. The SOW also requires an epoxy sealer and drainage solutions to protect the gym floor, though the reason for this is not specified. There are no industry regulations for drainage, so the requirement for compliance with such regulations should be removed. The stage floor is elevated but does not have a fascia. Overall, this amendment clarifies and updates the SOW requirements for the gym floor and stage.

Text version

1. SOW states that the gym floor is 65’ x 91’. When we scale the drawings, it comes out to 118’ x 94’ please clarify

Dimensions transferred from the original scope of work below:

The scaling of the drawing is verifiable, Government recommends using 118’ x 94’. Thus changing 5.

Task Description Gym Floor System from (65x91), to (118’ x 94’).

2. Is the stage elevated or the same height as the gym floor, if elevated is there a fascia?

The stage floor is elevated, see photo below, there is no fascia shown:

3. The SOW refers to an epoxy sealer and for drainage solutions to prevent water build up under the gym floor. Is that because of a known moisture problem?

SOW requires epoxy sealer and drainage solutions to protect the Gym floor. Original SOW information supplied did not specify how damage occurred, refer to school for more information.

4. The SOW requires compliance with industry regulations for drainage. There are no industry regulations for drainage. Please clarify the intent.

The SOW requires compliance with Maple Flooring humidity and environmental recommendations, if excessive moisture is detected a viable means of removal should be addressed. I agree there is not an industry regulation for drainage. I recommend the that last sentence be deleted (ref. 5. Task Description, specifications of Maple Flooring: r. )
