Statement of Work BIE School Improvement Summer Training

1.0 Project Overview

1.1. Purpose: The purpose of the School Improvement Summer Training is designed to offer

Teachers, School Administrators, Educa�on Resource Center (ERC) and Division of Performance and Accountability (DPA) staff an opportunity to engage in training and professional development opportuni�es in the areas of School Leadership Development, Data Repor�ng and Fiscal Management.

1.2. Goals & Objec�ves:

1.2.1. The objec�ve of sessions organized by the Principals Leadership Academy (PLA) is to educate school principals and school improvement leadership team staff to implement the Four Domains of Rapid School Improvement to effect systema�c turnaround and improvement at BIE-Funded schools.

1.2.2. The objec�ve of sessions organized by the Interac�ve Data Workshop (IDW) is for par�cipants to engage in exercises to gauge their current levels of data use. Teachers, School Administrators, ERC and DPA staff will establish a clear vision for schoolwide data use, make data part of an ongoing cycle of instruc�onal improvement, teachers will be able to examine their own data and set learning goals, provide supports that foster a data-driven culture.

1.2.3. The objec�ve of sessions organized by the Fiscal Project is for Local Educa�on Agency (LEA)s/schools business managers and ESSA and IDEA program coordinators to be introduced to the new DPA procedures, tools, processes, and engagements for monitoring the use of federal funds, including Indian School Equaliza�on Program ( ISEP), Elementary and Secondary Educa�on Act (ESEA), and Individuals with Disabili�es Educa�on Act (IDEA) funds and learn how each element has been streamlined across DPA programs.

1.3. Event Theme:

1.3.1. School Leadership, Methods & Strategies - Addressing Academic Achievement and Social

Growth Using the Four Domains of Rapid School Improvement.

1.3.2. BIE Vision and Mission for suppor�ng LEAs/Schools with the schoolwide planning and budge�ng.

1.3.3. Using data and partnerships to drive student success: a shared responsibility.

2.0 Scope of Work

2.1 The venue requires the following:

2.1.1 Loca�on: Phoenix, Arizona (or vicinity)

2.1.2 Availability: June 25-27

2.1.3 Capacity:

2.1.3.1 Block of 50 rooms for overnight stay (op�on to stay 3 or 4 nights)

2.1.3.2 Large room (ballroom) to accommodate 400 par�cipants

2.1.3.3 Breakout rooms to accommodate 80 par�cipants each

2.1.4 Equipment:

2.1.4.1 Audiovisual:

• Presenta�on screen: 2 in ballroom and 1 per breakout room

• Projectors: 2 in ballroom and 1 per breakout room

• Podiums for each room

• Microphones: 5 for ballroom and 3 per breakout room

• 2 PowerPoint Projector clickers per room

• Surge protectors for each room

• Charging sta�on for phones/laptops at tables

• Extension cords

• IT Technician onsite for the en�re event

• Speakers for each room that adequately covers the room

• Required cables to connect laptop to a/v

2.1.4.2 Equipment to accommodate the projected number of par�cipants as listed above:

• Round tables for par�cipants

• Chairs for par�cipants

• Tables and chairs for registra�on area

• Table(s) for water and coffee
