STATEMENT OF WORK

FOR EXTERIOR MESSAGE SIGN UPGRADE AT

PINE SPRINGS DAY SCHOOL

Overview:

The exterior message sign at Pine Springs Day School is due for an electronic message sign. The sign upgrade project shall follow this statement of work and be submitted through the Bureau of Indian Education (B.I.E) Acquisition Office.

General Information:

Contractor shall provide an itemized cost proposal breakdown to demo, dispose, purchase, supply and install a new double sided (two view) electronic (LED) message board to replace the existing sign on the existing signpost. Electrical upgrade and installation is to be included to support an approximately 5200 watt load. The existing sign dimensions are 5 feet high and 10 feet long with a depth of 21 inches. A 2 feet X 10 feet School Logo (ID) is to be included on each side; artwork approved by Contracting Officer Representative.

The message sign upgrade project will be located at 1001 Pine Springs Road, Houck, AZ 86506, on the Navajo Indian Reservation in Houck, Arizona -Apache County. Lat. +35.405253 Long -

SCOPE OF WORK

Specifications and Submittals:

Contractor shall provide professional workmanship in procurement and installation of new LED message sign at the Pine Springs Day School per statement of work and specifications. Vendor is to locate all utility and overhead and underground lines before any construction is to start. Submit all original documents to the Contracting Office Representative (COR).

Contractor to provide the installation of the manufacturer's programming software and instructions, including training on operating software program(s).

Mobilization:

Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, necessary tools, transportation, and all other services needed to complete project in full.

Contractor shall be responsible for mobilization costs of transporting materials, equipment, storage bins and debris to and from the project site.

Installation of LED Message Sign

Contractor shall supply and install a double-sided LED Message Sign approximately 10' x 5' in size/ structure installed at approximately 10 feet above the ground on the existing support.

All sign features and fabrication shall be manufactured for exterior use and weather resistant.

Contractor shall comply with manufacturer's instructions for assembly and installation.

Contractor shall install programming software on to a computer for operation of wireless message controls

Contractor shall provide training on operation of software and equipment.

The Contractor will be responsible for and bear all costs of disposal of excess materials and construction debris from properties of the United States. In addition, the Contractor will be responsible for maintaining the safety of jobsite, construction laborers and occupants of facility.

Warranty:

Warranty shall include all labor, materials, equipment necessary to repair/replace defective work and/or materials. Warranty shall include but not be limited to the following:

Replacement of equipment, workmanship, materials, and installation practices that are not according to the manufacturer's recommendations will be covered up to one year.

Warranty period for the electronic equipment shall follow manufacturer's warranty period from date of Substantial Completion.

Warranty documentation describing its terms and conditions shall be submitted to the COR.

Contractor's Period of Performance:

The Contractor shall complete the work under this contract within 75 calendar days. The BIE's review of submittals is not included in the contractor's performance time.
