About this file

This document is an Indian Affairs Indian Economic Enterprise (IEE) Representation Form that provides guidance and a template for self-certification under the Buy Indian Act (25 U.S.C. 47). The form requires offerors to verify they meet the definition of an Indian Economic Enterprise as defined in the Department of the Interior Acquisition Regulation (DIAR) Part 1480. Offerors must demonstrate eligibility at three critical points: when submitting an offer, at contract award, and throughout the entire contract term.

The form includes fields for key identifying information such as the name of the federally recognized tribal entity, Unique Entity ID (UEI), legal business name, and the name of the 51% (or greater) owner of the IEE firm. The document warns that submitting false or misleading information is a violation punishable under various U.S. Code sections, including potential penalties under 18 U.S.C. 1001 and 31 U.S.C. 3729-3731. Contracting Officers retain the right to request additional eligibility documentation at any point in the acquisition lifecycle.
