About this file

This is a Project Manual for the Galesburg-Augusta Primary School Telescoping Stands project, prepared by Tower Pinkster Titus Associates for Galesburg-Augusta Community Schools in Galesburg, Michigan. The project involves the installation of electrically operated wall-attached telescoping bleacher stands with nine rows, 78 feet in length, and a capacity of 392 seats. The system includes molded plastic benches in red, plywood decking with polyethylene textured overlay, steel risers and safety rails, wheelchair-accessible seating with retractable truncated benches, and electrical components including a 1/2 horsepower motor operating at 208 V ac, three-phase, 60 hertz. The bleacher system is specified to comply with ICC 300 standards and ADA accessibility requirements, with control devices including walk-along pendant controls and wall-mounted keyed switch panels. The specifications also encompass electrical rough-in work, including common work results for electrical installation, low-voltage conductors and cables rated 600 V and less, hangers and supports for electrical systems, raceways and boxes, and identification systems for all electrical installations.

The project manual provides detailed technical specifications for products and installation requirements without indicating specific pricing terms, bid response dates, or contract award information. The electrical work requires compliance with NFPA 70, AWS welding standards, and NECA standards for workmanship. Contractors must obtain all required electrical construction permits and inspections and file electrical service requests with the utility provider. The specifications require factory-authorized service representatives to train the owner's maintenance personnel on system inspection, adjustment, operation, and maintenance. No information regarding funding sources, set-asides, contract term, or renewal options is contained in the project manual.
