The bid is open for submission from August 28, 2025, to September 25, 2025, with a bid opening scheduled for September 25, 2025, at 1:00 PM CDT via Microsoft Teams. The project involves a single service line item requiring the contractor to supply labor, materials, and equipment to repair the existing concrete tile structure approximately 14 feet below grade. The project requires a lane closure on the westbound lane of US-30, with temporary signals, and full restoration of any removed pavement. The bid includes specific requirements for contractors, such as registration with the Iowa Department of Workforce Development, providing lead times for materials, and maintaining appropriate insurance coverage. The Iowa DOT will award the contract to the most advantageous bidder, considering factors beyond cost, including meeting mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, time schedules, past work performance, and work capacity. The contract will be funded through the Iowa DOT, with deliveries set as F.O.B. Destination. The bid is tax-exempt, and Davis-Bacon wages do not apply. Known utilities in the project area include overhead transmission poles and an underground fiber line in the north right-of-way.
