About this file
This document contains responses to questions from National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Solicitation 1333ND21QNB150041 for an Electronic Medical Records Storage System. NIST requires a cloud-based electronic health record system accessible 24/7 with eight user licenses. Functionality for DOT testing, workers' compensation, or other regulatory compliance is not needed. The system must meet NIST IT security and privacy standards at the moderate impact level. NIST staff will scan paper records and schedule patients via phone, email, and Microsoft Outlook currently. The system will be used at the single NIST location in Gaithersburg, Maryland. NIST does not bill patients, receive referrals, or routinely distribute documents outside the organization except via encrypted email or fax in rare cases.
