SPECIFICATIONS
Nine (9) Exhibit Cases for the NIST Museum
BACKGROUND
The NIST Research Library wishes to purchase nine (9) Exhibit Cases for the NIST Museum that are similar in style and color to the museum cases currently in building 101. The NIST museum is looking for Museum Quality* showcases equipped to protect objects from damage associated with environmental hazards such as UV light, insects, dirt, and changes in temperature and humidity. Each case shall have a locking mechanism to prevent theft and seals to keep out dust and insects.
Quotes should describe how the exhibit cases meet the criteria listed in this solicitation and include detailed schematics of the proposed cases. Specifically, quotes should detail how all materials used in construction (such as boards, adhesives, paints, and fabrics) are safe for the exhibit and storage of museum and archival materials.
Photos of previous products/projects which demonstrate a company’s ability to produce quality museum casework are requested. The offeror must demonstrate that its proposed museum exhibit cases comply with the specifications described in each CLIN.
SCOPE
Museum Exhibit Case which shall meet the following minimum specifications listed below to fulfill the requirements for the 101 Building at NIST.
