Lighting production services are required in order to create a video/audio recording to commemorate the 20th anniversary of 9/11. This recording will be conducted in the Washington National Cathedral on 23 August 2021.

1.1. BACKGROUND

The U.S. Marine Band has been tasked by HQMC to present a series of free public concerts in the Washington metropolitan area during FY 2021. Due in part to the current pandemic, these free public concerts have been launched digitally to audiences across the country. As cited in the Commandant of the Marine Corps’ Letter of Instruction concerning the United States Marine Band dated 26 June 1995, the judgment of the Director of the U.S. Marine Band will be accepted with regard to the necessity of acquisitions of supplies, services, and location determination. The Director found one (1) hall to be deemed acceptable for this specific project: The Washington National Cathedral. The following criterion has been taken into consideration to determine acceptability of the hall: location, acoustics, hall and stage size, loading dock, and backstage area to include changing rooms.
