QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

1305M325Q0288 Q: Who is the incumbent?

A: Please read the information that was provided for the solicitation. This can be found in the Description for the solicitation at the top.

Q: Can I do a walk through?

A: Contact info for who to schedule the site visit with is in the Description for the solicitation.

Q: Is there map or photo of the property?

A: There is a Google image of 587 Aero drive that has been added to the attachments. We don’t have images for the other areas that need to be plowed. You might want to conduct a site visit to see all of the areas.

Q: How many total acres are there?

A: The Office parking lot is approximately .3 acres. The other lots are significantly smaller.

Q: What trigger do you want this service completed?

A: Per the Statement of Work, “The contractor shall perform snow removal when a new snow accumulation of two or more inches occurs, or upon request by the Meteorologist-in-Charge (MIC) or his designee. Normally, the contractor shall report within two clock hours when two inches of snow has accumulated. If the snow falls during the late night hours, the contractor shall report by 5AM. When requested, the snow removal shall be performed within two hours of the request, or at a time agreed to by the MIC or his designee.”

Q: " All paved surfaces of the observatory 150 Amherst Villa RD, where upper-air flight are performed" Can you provide a map to for a visual of the areas you are looking to have serviced for this location?

Q: " gravel surfaces at the WSR-88D RDA 150 N. Airport Way, excluding those locations where vehicles are parked at the time work is performed.” Can you provide a map to for a visual of the areas you are looking to have serviced for this location?

A: See Google Images of Parking Lot attachment AND CLARIFYING IMAGES AND DESCRIPTIONS ON THE DOCUMENT ENTITLED 1305M325Q0288 IMAGES FOR AMENDMENT 0003 09082025.

Q: I see conflicting addresses/I’m having trouble finding the addresses listed in the Statement of Work.

A: This is tricky because the areas that the NWS needs snow removal for happen to be on airport property, and Google sometimes has addresses that conflict with what is used amongst those at the airport. The roads are not necessarily recorded properly in Google. The RADAR site is officially 3 North Airport Drive, however, Google maps shows it as 50 N. Airport Drive, but it can also be listed as 150 N. Airport Way. The same issue holds true for the observatory area also. It is sometimes labeled as 150 Amherst Villa Drive and other times, it is labeled at 120 Amherst Villa Dr. Please see images in the document entitled 1305M325Q0288 Images for Amendment 0003 09082025 for more visual clarifications.
