Minimum AZ Rotary Joint Specification For

WSR-88D Azimuth Rotary Joint Replacement

(P/N BS-2000-110-000)

1. Requirements

1.1. This four-channel waveguide rotary joint shall maintain the following characteristics during the transmission of power at the maximum levels specified and under the environmental conditions specified.

1.2. This rotary joint has three coaxial ports and one waveguide port. The waveguide port transfers the transmitter pulses through the pedestal. The coaxial ports transfer stable local-oscillator (STALO), horizontal intermediate frequency (H-IF), and vertical intermediate frequency (V-IF).

1.3. All specifications in sections 1.4 and 1.5 must be verified following the burn-in tests found in section 1.6.

1.4. Electrical
