About this file
This Performance Work Statement (PWS) details annual preventive maintenance requirements for a STERRAD NX hydrogen peroxide-based sterilizer at the Naval Medical Research Unit San Antonio (NAMRU SA). The contract seeks a vendor to provide one on-site preventive maintenance per year for a STERRAD NX sterilizer (Serial Number 4033170097), including unlimited on-site service calls with a 48-hour maximum response time. The period of performance is a 12-month base period with three 12-month option periods, totaling 48 months, to be executed at the Tri-Service Research Laboratory in JBSA Fort Sam Houston, Texas. The vendor must supply service reports, ensure equipment operates within factory specifications, and preferably have previous experience working with Navy and Department of Defense laboratories. The primary objective is to maintain the sterilizer's optimal performance to prevent research productivity losses, supporting NAMRU SA's mission of improving survival, operational readiness, and safety of DoD personnel.

NAVAL MEDICAL RESEARCH UNIT SAN ANTONIO
PERFORMANCE WORK STATEMENT
FY ‘25 Page 1
Annual preventive maintenance for STERRAD NX hydrogen peroxide-based sterilizer
1. Scope of Work.
The Naval Medical Research Unit San Antonio (NAMRU SA) requires, via this Performance Work Statement (PWS), a vendor to provide annual maintenance and an on-site service agreement for its STERRAD NX Hydrogen Peroxide based sterilizer. NAMRU SA conducts multiple studies requiring various instruments to be sterilized in a Hydrogen Peroxide based sterilizer rather than a steam-based sterilizer for aseptic procedures. Any downtime due to inoperable components, parameters out of line with factory specifications, or other reductions in performance due to equipment not maintained optimally and within factory determined specifications leads to significant losses of time, man hours, and loss in research productivity. This loss of time and productivity directly harms the mission of NAMRU SA to provide gap driven research to improve the survival, operational readiness, and safety of DoD personnel.
2. Definitions and Terms.
