Statement of Work for:

Imperx Bobcat SDI Cameras and Power Supplies for MQ-25A Stingray Support

Background

The Atlantic Test Range, Telemetry Branch is procuring Imperx Bobcat SDI Cameras and Power Supplies that will be used to support the MQ-25A Stingray Program. This equipment will be used in the MQ-25A Stingray Common Cockpit Control Rooms, hereafter referred to as the Stingray Control Rooms.

Scope

This equipment was selected because its small size, lens interchangeability, HD-SDI video output, and 1960x11120 video resolution make it the only product available that meets the over the shoulder video requirements for the MQ-25 CCS.

Objectives/Tasks

The MQ-25 is a system of systems that integrates the first operational carrier-based, catapult-launched Unmanned Air System (UAS) with existing aircraft carrier (CVN) systems and command, control, communications, computers, and intelligence (C4I) systems. It will provide a long-endurance Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) and robust organic refueling capability, coupled with incremental precision strike, for the Carrier Air Wing (CVW). MQ-25 will significantly extend the effective mission ranges of CVW assets, alleviate the current Carrier Strike Group organic ISR shortfall, and preserve F/A- 18E/F service life. For the purposes of capturing user interaction with the MQ-25 CCS, an unobtrusive, high-resolution camera is required. The Imperx camera selected is small and easily mounted in a location out of the way of system operators. The camera requires power and a single coaxial cable for operation.

The SDI interface allows for integration into existing video distribution systems for real-time monitoring of CCS operations.
