About this file

This document outlines a federal contract opportunity for fuels management services. The Plumas Stewardship IRSC contract will be awarded under the USDA Forest Service's stewardship authority to achieve land management goals on National Forest lands. The objective is to treat fire-killed fuels along roads within the North Complex, Dixie, and Beckwourth Fire areas to ensure safe access and working conditions while reducing wildfire risk. Services include mechanically removing unmerchantable trees and small-diameter hazardous fuels to landings for burning or chipping off-site. Mandatory and optional decking of merchantable logs is required, with product removal included as an optional item. Up to three awards may be made, with road maintenance only required if optional product removal is selected. The period of performance is through December 2022 for mandatory items and October 2023 for optional items. Two site visits will be held on September 14th and 20th to review units. Quoters must be registered in SAM to be eligible for award.
