About this file
This federal contract opportunity is for fuels management services on National Forest System lands impacted by recent wildfires in California. The objective is to treat roadside hazardous fuels along roads within the North Complex, Dixie, and Beckwourth Fires through mechanical removal and processing of unmerchantable trees and small diameter fuels. Optional removal of merchantable timber is also requested. Awards will be made by January 2023 for mandatory roadside treatment with optional timber removal continuing until October 2023. Contractors must be registered in SAM and attend the mandatory site visits on September 14th and 20th to be eligible. Pricing should be proposed for optional product removal. The solicitation is issued by the USDA Forest Service under stewardship authority for lands within the Feather River, Mt Hough, and Beckwourth Ranger Districts of the Plumas National Forest.
