Do you know what timeframe you need it completed by?

POP is April 19-May21.

The equipment I have is a mini excavator around 10k pounds and a large tracked skid steer. Would these be sufficient for this job? I think they will be, but I don’t want to waste my time with a bid or other peoples’ time reading a bid if my equipment insufficient.

It is the requirement of the contractor to know and understand the full scope of the project and if the equipment available to the contractor is capable of completing the project.

I was trying to find the bid sheet to go with this demolition. Did I just not see it?.

The SF1449 is the bid sheet as outlined in solicitation at the bottom of page 7. Complete blocks 17a-b and pricing can go in block 23 @ 24.

Do you have anything specific that you would like us to look for? Would you like us to submit a quote to you through email or through the beta.SAM.gov website?

Offers shall be emailed to gary.brown3@usda.gov no later than the close time listed in the solicitation

Can the foundation walls and garage walls be left and site grading to fill the holes be done? Or are you anticipating import of fill material? And if so do you have a quantity of fill? Do you have a seed mix? and can it be hand broadcast?

All concrete shall be demolished to a depth of 12 inches below the natural grade of the property. Concrete remaining shall be punctured to allow drainage as outlined in the statement of work and filled to a minimum of 12 inches above the highest point of concrete. The amount of fill needs to be calculated by the contractor based on the information given. The seed mix required is of natural yard mix commonly used in the Billings, MT area.

Which parts of the concrete get demolished and what stays? the garage part is unclear

All concrete shall be demolished to a depth of 12 inches below the natural grade of the property. Concrete remaining shall be punctured to allow drainage as outlined in the statement of work and filled to a minimum of 12 inches above the highest point of concrete.

The Project information describes a two car detached garage. Are there any photos of that? I am only seeing a garage that looks to be attached to the house. How many other structures are on the property? Yard debris? Junk vehicles? I am not seeing much from the photos. Any clarification you can provide would be great.

The garage pictured is the only garage on the property. There is a site visit scheduled and it is strongly encouraged that anyone submitting a proposal attend that if at all possible, in order to better understand the full scope of the requirement.

Is it possible to move the manufactured home and re use it?

The government has determined that the house is uninhabitable and needs to be demolished.

There is a propane tank onsite what is the plan for removal of that.

The government is researching the origins of the tank and if there is a lese hold on the tank to see who the rightful owner is.

Cistern removal requirements

It is the position of the government that the cistern is left intact, in a safe condition, secured in a manner to prevent unlawful or accidental entry with keys handed to the government upon completion of the work.

Concrete removal by local ordinance.

It has been determined that the although this property may reside outside the city limits of Billings, MT the industry standard for concrete removal is at the discretion of the demolition permit issuer. It is the position of the government that all concrete be removed and disposed of and the site be returned to its natural state. This a change that will be reflected in the statement of work and published as amendment.
