About this file

This is a Statement of Work for a 12-month service contract issued by the United States Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Plant Science Research Unit, located in Raleigh, North Carolina. The contract requires comprehensive maintenance and support services for an LGC Genomics oKtopure DNA isolation robotic instrument used to process 800-1,600 DNA samples daily from plant tissue for high-throughput screening utilizing marker and genomic selection protocols.

The service contract encompasses preventative maintenance including instrument inspection, re-assembly and calibration of the 96-channel Dispense Head, software upgrades to current production status (without hardware or operating system upgrades), and replacement of any failed or defective components during normal operation. The contractor must provide unlimited service visits during the 12-month term, including all labor and travel expenses. The contractor is responsible for ensuring the instrument maintains pipetting accuracy to preserve sample integrity without contamination risk and must provide correct installation and training on robotics to maintain proper alignment with reagent and sample reservoirs required by the Eastern Regional Small Grains Genotyping Laboratory's customized isolation protocols. The anticipated coverage period begins September 31, 2026, and runs through September 30, 2027, with two additional option years available.
