Questions and Answers for RFP Custodial Cleanup Services
1. Contractors should have an estimated cubic yard (cyd) amount so they can accurately estimate the price to complete the service. How will we address this? For example, contractors unit price for up to 50 cyd of debris.
Answer: Referring to the SOW 3a: Custodial Cleanup. Generally we do not see excessive debri removal as it is only for health and safety hazards. A “full cleanup is not included in our SOW so it is done case by case. In the cases were there is excessive debri that is needing to be removed, we would ask for pictures and obtain a bid to do a funds request for a new contract just for that work. This would also be the case for a vehicle removal or the excessive hazardous situation examples in #6.
