About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for the Blythe Water Reclamation and Ecosystem (WRE) site project. The document does not address required products or services, pricing terms, response dates, or award dates, but rather provides clarifications on seven technical and operational questions submitted by contractors regarding project specifications and requirements.
Key clarifications provided by the Contracting Officer include: work hours may be scheduled six days per week at ten hours per day, provided non-continuous inspection items are completed when inspector and COR are not on-site; stripped topsoil can be incorporated into the top six inches of berm construction, with excess material returned to the pool area at specified tolerances of +/- 0.5 feet; the contractor is responsible for verifying county road weight load limits per the mobilization specification; pipe end protection must use internal or external fittings (not rubber caps or plugs) with a lifespan exceeding 15 years; fertilizer and lime require application and incorporation to a minimum three-inch depth separate from seed application at one-quarter to one-half inch maximum depth; mulch is not required on berms per the seeding specification; and riprap specifications require RR3 sizing only, with no RR4 sizing applicable to the project.
