Alblinger/Munteanu WRE site Visit Ques�ons
Held Aug 29th at 10am
1. What is the VETS4212 report and when does the contractor need to submit this report to the
CO?
a. The link for VETS-4212 can be found under FAR Part 52.222-37. If the bid is over $150,000 contractor is required to complete the form. Please refer to the clause.
2. Can a surface file be provided for grade control equipment
a. Yes awarded contractor can be provided CAD surface files
3. Will NRCS stake the site
a. The site is currently staked and will be confirmed at site showing staking is s�ll in place.
4. What is the expected daily liquidated damages if performance �me is not met?
a. Requirement does not contain liquidated damages.
5. What happens if there is a government shutdown a�er award and during construc�on, can contractor con�nue working?
a. In the event of a shut down the contractor will be no�fied and given direc�on and informa�on on what steps to take.
6. What is width of outlet channel?
a. 10� wide flat botom with 6:1 side slopes
7. How many cubic yard of excava�on come from each pool
a. Pool A has approximately 8,200cy + 1,800cy grub material
b. Pool B has approximately 3,300 cy
c. Pool C has approximately 5,600 cy
8. What if species in seed mix 2 are not available, how does the contractor bid?
a. If species are not available, bidder must provide proof and alterna�ve equivalent seed species for review to CO.
9. How many acres of seed mix 2? Bid sheet shows 7.13ac and specifica�on show 2.71 acres.
a. Area to be seeded with seed mix 2 (bid item 3) is the habitat mounds 1,2&3, along with Pool C spoil. Those total acres are 2.71 acres. Bid sheet, Bid item 3 need corrected to
2.71 acres instead of 7.13 acres
10. On the 3 rock checks installed across the Aux. spillway is geotex�le fabric required
a. On the rock checks of the Aux. spillway no geotex�le is needed between rock and earth surface. Furthermore the 49 tons of RR3 rock is neat line volume per the bid sheet.
Addi�onal rock from over excava�on or embedment into the ground from compac�on equipment is at expense of the contractor.
11. Does the site frequently flood?
a. Nearly en�re site is within the 100 year floodplain and can flood.
