About this file
This solicitation is for a coastal wetland marsh creation project in Cameron Parish, Louisiana. The project involves creating new emergent coastal wetland marsh across 386 acres using over 850,000 cubic yards of dredge fill material excavated from the Gulf of Mexico and contained within two cells by containment dikes nearly 25,000 feet in length. The dredged fill material will also be used to nourish 18,500 cubic yards of degraded existing marsh. An optional item to install 350 linear feet of articulating concrete block mats to protect the levee and shoreline at the Gulf of Mexico will also be considered. Responding vendors will find the solicitation package, special provisions and specifications, plans, and applicable wage determinations attached. The solicitation was released by the Department of Agriculture Under Secretary for Farm Production and Conservation.
