Question and Answer
1. Will stockpiling of material be allowed during construction?
a. Yes. Stockpiling will be allowed during construction.
2. Clarification of which culvert to be removed on 1901RXP? Reason?
a. Culvert on SE portion of easement, under gravel driveway. Increase of water, and pipe is rusting out.
3. Clarification of berm to ditch location (1901RXP)?
a. Berm will be on the interior and ditch will be exterior. The purpose being berm will hold water on easement. Ditch will take extra water and seepage that would otherwise go offsite.
4. Purpose of easement?
a. Restore Hydrology and wetland condition to best of ability for wetland dependent migratory species.
5. Where can equipment be parked?
a. Equipment can be parked on easement. Location on 1901RXP the gravel driveway is the driest location and will not be affected by any increased moisture on site should it rain.
6. Where can rock be found?
a. Unknown where the nearest quarry is in reference to site.
7. Where is the nearest place for crew stay?
a. Isle, and Aitkin are the nearest places with hotels. Resorts on Lake Mille Lacs are also open to stay at.
8. Clarification on where ditch will start on 1901RYM?
a. Ditch will begin prior to existing on easement culvert.
9. Where can trees be sourced for planting?
a. Trees can be sourced from Aitkin Soil and Water Conservation District, or Minnesota Department of Natural Resources as the easiest source.
10. Will topsoil need to be brought in?
a. No, everything needed besides rock can be found onsite.
11. Will contractor be responsible for AS-Built?
a. No, NRCS will be doing the AS-Built, and will be onsite to take survey shots.
12. Are there known elevation locations identified?
a. Yes, locations are the easement pins that can be found next to corner posts.
