Plumas National Forest Service Emergency Communications (Dispatch) Center ACM Abatement and Remodel Questions:

1. It is unclear if all walls in Server Room, Bathroom, Kitchen are being abated as well as the common wall that one side is in the main office. I believe that they are all abated along with the flooring in all three rooms, Correct?

A. Interior wall of kitchen, wall being removed between Bathroom and Data Room has asbestos.

B. Asbestos was found in Bathroom floor and in tile required to construct new wall between Bathroom and Data Room. No asbestos was found in ceiling in any rooms.

C. Only abate what is necessary in order to complete this remodel.

2. No flooring or walls in the rest of the building are included in this Solicitation, correct?

A. This not correct. Flooring in bathroom and flooring required to be removed to construct new wall between Bathroom and Data Room. As stated in question 1 A.

3. The new cabinet at the right hand side of the dishwasher/ sink wall will be affected by the stem wall. Does the Government desire the cabinet to stop just before touching the stem wall and a fill strip closing the gap?

A. New Cabinets on South end (location of sink) and North end will stop at concrete stem, filler strip matching cabinets finish will be installed, and bracing for countertop on both ends will be installed. Counter tops will be extended to outside walls as shown on drawings.

4. The row of cabinets on the opposite wall will be notched on the back as well. Correct? The option is to have shallow cabinets with a void between the wall and back of the cabinets. Which is desired?

A. Cabinets shall be installed as stated in 4 A.

5. To clarify are we to replace ceiling in the bathroom only, correct?

A. Match Bathroom existing ceiling as required. Some of the ceiling in the server room must also be replaced, as a portion of it will be constructed as restroom space. It is our expectation that the ceiling in the kitchen will be salvaged.
