About this file

This document is a Request for Quote (RFQ) for the purchase of acoustic recording equipment for the U.S. Forest Service. The items requested include Song Meter Mini 2 Acoustic Recorders, Acoustic Microphone Stubs, and Replacement Windscreens. The required delivery location is the USDA Institute of Forest Genetics in Placerville, CA, with a delivery timeframe of 15 days after contract award.

The RFQ is issued under simplified acquisition procedures, with award to be made on a lowest price technically acceptable basis. The key evaluation factors are price and technical capability, with technical factors being significantly less important than price. Offerors must provide documentation that all offered products are manufactured in the USA and accept the 30-day delivery timeframe or propose an alternate lead time. Quotes must be submitted electronically to the Contracting Officer by the due date. The contract will be awarded without discussions if a technically acceptable low-priced offer is received.
