The USDA, ARS, Northwest Irriga�on and Soils Research Unit, Kimberly, ID requires the following specifica�ons for Open Path FTIR instruments.

• Includes seven FTIR instruments with tripods and six retroreflectors without tripods.

• Mul�-gas monosta�c open path analyzer (tripod mount) w/ cryocooler (min. 2 yr warranty) able to operate con�nuously in the field in harsh condi�ons with minimal site visits, with transit cases included.

• Telescope - 12” primary mirror/ 4” secondary mirror with quick mount, mirrors protected, gold coated.

• The unit must be sealed from the environment and kept heated and cooled using a thermo-electrically cooled air condi�oner and capable of opera�ng in air temperatures from -10°C to 55°C with no-maintenance instrument air condi�oner.

• S�rling cooled MCT detector, and ZnSe op�cs. Wavenumber range 600-4200 cm-1. User selectable resolu�on of 0.7cm-1 to 32cm-1.

• Ethernet communica�on, USB, serial communica�on, WiFi adapter, op�on for cellular hotspot.

• Full remote control over network or internet; cellular ready.

• Ability to email data to a central data acquisi�on system or server.

• Simultaneous analysis of up to 350+ gas compounds with up to 1000 meter path length.

• Demonstrated ability to accurately measure ammonia, methane and nitrous oxide in an agricultural se�ng with detec�on limits/resolu�on at the ppb level.

• Opera�onal so�ware compa�ble with Windows 10. Raw spectrographic informa�on saved in

.csv format. Op�on to collect and save interferograms in .csv format.

• So�ware with robust algorithms for determining gas concentra�ons independently without contrac�ng addi�onal services.

• Reference library and method development to op�mize the system performance in the field included.

• Includes heavy duty telescoping tripod for the FTIR.

• Includes retroreflector with a minimum of 60 corner cube gold coated op�cs (monolithic, not made of glass) suitable for up to 500 meter separa�on between analyzer and retroreflector with op�on for heated purge blower.

• FTIR system shall have the means to control the electronic gain of the detector by the user in the field, independent of the deployment path distance, or the size of the reflector array.

• Technical support to help with troubleshoo�ng (hardware or so�ware) included.

• Ability to service/repair units within 2 weeks.

• Delivery of units within 12 weeks of ordering.
