Background & Site Description

The Animal Disease Research Unit (ADRU) provides solutions to infectious disease problems which have significant economic impact on the bovine, equine and small ruminant industries of the United States. Located within two land grant Universities (Washington State University and the University of Idaho), ADRU's collaborative research is aligned with federal/state research and regulatory priorities. Additional unique aspects of ADRU are its vector borne disease program in which research is focused on novel methods to prevent disease transmission and the integration of ADRU's research plan with the DVM, PhD training program of ARS and the College of mailto:wendy.stephenson@usda.gov mailto:richard.partain@usda.gov

Veterinary Medicine at Washington State University. While there are two locations, the billing will be under one account.

The deliveries and pickups will be in:

• Room 339 of the Bustad Building at the Washington State University, USDA animal research facility at the Washington State University, and

• The USDA animal research facility at the University of Idaho.

Description of Work/Deliverables

This requirement is to have clean linens delivered and soiled linens picked up on a weekly basis during the business hours of (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) every Thursday, and to have them professionally laundered and returned. Linen needs fluctuate and services are on an as-needed basis, defined below, including both government-furnished and non-government-furnished inventory.

Periods of Performance:

We request four option periods through 2029 if exercised by Contracting Officer.

Estimated Dates of Service:

Base Year: 09/01/2024 – 08/31/2025 Option Year 1: 09/01/2025 – 08/31/2026 Option Year 2: 09/01/2026 – 08/31/2027 Option Year 3: 09/01/2027 – 08/31/2028 Option Year 4: 09/01/2028 – 08/31/2029

Scope of Work:

The Contractor shall provide all professional services necessary for the accomplishment of each project and such required services shall be in accordance with requirements as described herein. The Contractor shall provide services for the following tasks marked by an “X”:

[X] Provide clean linen on a once/weekly basis in accordance with inventory provided [X] Garments to be hangered [X] Garments to be pressed, not ironed [X] Mend and replace all non-government furnished linen as needed [X] Provide additional linen as needed [X] Service provided must prevent cross contamination [X] Service provided must maintain the required PPE protocols
