Bubblehouse @ Pullman Farm: Greenhouse Control Panel Replacement
Statement of Work
Location:
USDA-ARS Plant Germplasm Introduction and Testing Research Pullman Farm 4900 SE Terre View Drive Pullman, WA 99163
Scope:
The Bubblehouse at Pullman Farm (adjacent to Washington State University campus in Pullman, WA) is a necessary resource for completing unit objectives regarding plant production. Recently, the Wadsworth control panel currently in place has been failing. We are no longer able to maintain proper environmental temperature ranges for ideal growth and development of plants.
The current panel is obsolete and requires replacement. Replacement parts are expensive and difficult/not possible to find. Newer greenhouse control panels can provide increased functionality and are more user friendly. Replacing failing, outdated control equipment with new equipment is necessary for restoring proper function of Bubblehouse at Pullman Farm.
Description of winning bidder’s duties:
Remove obsolete and failing Wadsworth greenhouse control panel and replace with LINK4 iGrow control panel brand name or equal to. Ensure control panel functions properly and to requested specifications. Obtain all necessary permits and pass inspection, if required.
Duties included and are not limited to:
1. Removal of old Wadsworth control panel. Panel is actively in use and will need to be disconnected, disassembled, and removed entirely.
2. Installation and setup of new LINK4 iGrow (brand name or equal to) control panel.
Reconfigure wiring and electrical setup as necessary to accommodate new system (including troubleshooting, tracing and labeling all control wiring present in existing control cabinet, reworking conduit connections). Install associated temperature/humidity probe with panel. Provide motor controller module if speed control is needed. Make connections to existing equipment and sensor devices.
3. Setup, program, and sequence new system. Sequence according to specifications provided by greenhouse operators.
4. Ensure all necessary safety guidelines are followed and that new setup meets legal requirements. Obtain permits and pass inspection if necessary and required.
5. Communicate pertinent information regarding operation of system to greenhouse operators.
A site visit is recommended to obtain full scope of the project requirements and materials involved. Bidders can contact Dustin Golembiewski (Greenhouse Technician) at 517-605-2867 to set up appointments for site visits.
